I've been following Drag and Drive for about 3 years now and the biggest thing I've noticed is the Friendship.

The NHRA has 206,000 UA-cam members and no comments ! That’s clearly a problem that the high and mighty NHRA chooses to ignore. It’s time for management to get off their ignorant asses and fix the problem before it’s too late. I stated a few of the problems on Saturdays comments. Happy motoring 🇺🇸

Today is Sunday 10:45 AM eastern. Where are all the spectators today ? I’m watching the live stream and at the moment there’s only 404 people watching. The UK race at Santa Pod has 4014 people currently watching their stream. NHRA won’t allow comments on their streams so I’m making my point here on Saturdays comments. I’m in Georgia and have been drag racing as a participant and spectator for over 50 years. WHERE THE HELL ARE ALL OF THE SPECTATORS ? Drag racing is the great American motorsports event and I love it. I don’t want to hear excuses about this being a regional event and the crowds all go to national events. That’s a piss poor excuse because attendance is CLEARLY suffering at all NHRA and local events. Most of the blame is on NHRA for “sanitizing” their holy ground for the sake of family ratings on TV and castrating the creativity of individuals and teams in competition. Atlanta Dragway is long gone after 45+ years of packed grandstands. I was there on opening day and every major event for decades and the place was always packed with spectators. The track was sold and has been demolished. It was a greed based decision. At the Next “National Championship” televised event, notice how the cameras deliberately avoid showing the grandstands. The sanctioning body obviously doesn’t want to show the low or no attendance for the event. The ticket prices had already gotten outrageous but that’s not the only reason attendance is suffering. The management has made the entire sport so boring that nobody wants to go or even watch on television. It totally sucks. ESPECIALLY THROTTLE STOP BRACKETS ! Devices that slow powerful cars down defeats the purpose of drag racing and puts people to sleep. Like I said, I love drag racing but if something isn’t done soon to fix what the NHRA has systematically broken, we can all kiss it goodbye forever !

2019 Corvette? What state inspection and emission station did this go through? You can't get Historic, or Street Rod tags for a 2019 anything. The newest vehicle eligible for limited tags is 2004. Some states are 25 years old.

I like old school butt kickings ! He didn't win by a little. That visor was used in cup years ago to slow the cars down. They mounted it on the roof and it cut speed. It only makes sense if you put it on the opposite side of the roof it makes aero speed. I think the visor might have a fun story?

Where are all the spectators? I'm at Santa Pod Raceway UKI it's 33 am in the morning and there must be 5000 people partying waiting for tomorrow! Expecting 15,000at head! Next weekend probably between 5 and 20,000! each day!
